ABOUT THE TEMPLE

LUMINARY OF THE TEMPLE

Govind dev Ji idol is attractive and also called Bajrakrit. At the time of temple construction the founder of Jaipur, Raja Sawai Jai Singh II, brought the idol from Vrindavan. According to the legendary stories, the holy image of Lord Govind Dev Ji was created by Barjranabh who is the great-grandson of Lord Shri Krishna. History of Govind Dev Ji Temple

Just as the history of the creation of Lord Vishnu (Shri Madan Mohan Ji, Shri Gopinath Ji, and Shri Govind Devji) of Lord Shri Krishna is interesting, so is the history of protecting the divine emancipation of Lord Shri Krishna from the insurgent rulers and the restoration of them again. The same is inspirational. The vigilance of Mr. Govind Devji, Mr. Gopinathji, and Mr. Madan Mohan Ji is believed to be about five thousand years old. In the sixteenth century, the ultimate devotee of Thakurji, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, sent two disciples, Roop Goswami, and Sanatan Goswami to Vrindavan and find Lord Sri Krishna's Leela destinations. Both disciples searched for Lord Sri Krishna's Leela sites. In the meantime, Lord Sagevvind Devji appeared in Roop Goswami in a dream and asked him to find his Vigilance on the Goma Dive of Vrindavan. Later, the videography of Radharani was conferred with Sri Govind Devji from Orissa.
